The Williamson County Public Affairs Summer Intern will support the mission to provide excellent customer service while executing strategic and financially sustainable core services. Under the direction of the Director of Communications and Media Relations, the intern will help maintain a positive county image and foster community relations through various communications initiatives and events in support of the Commissioners Court, county departments, and elected offices. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in public communications and community engagement.
- Researches and writes media releases, brochures, articles, and other written communications

Assists with developing social media posts

Assists with photography

Assists with newsletters

Handles administrative and clerical work on projects

Monitors local media for county news

Responsible for organizing Public Affairs records
