Public Relations Officer (PRO)

The role of a Public Relations Officer (PRO) is critical in the sense that he is responsible in ensuring that all employees and the Company itself fully comply with the State of Qatar’s stringent government regulations and employment laws to avoid penalties and irregularities.

The PRO is responsible for processing and carrying out all transactions relating to visas, permits, licenses, registrations of the employees and the company, liaising with various government departments and agencies.

1. Processes all types of visas -- employment, business and family, and processes renewals of all permits on time, both in-person and online.

2. Knowledge of local laws and government procedures in processing all government applications.

3. Prepares all documents / correspondence to various government offices or agencies in a professional manner.

4. Knowledge of Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Municipality requirements and inspection.

5. Ensures and coordinates medical, fingerprint, and visa stamping of staff and laborers.

6. Follows up and ensures the timely renewal of Official Records: visas, passport, established card, Commercial registration, commercial permit, etc.

7. Liaises with government authorities on labor, immigration, and provides updates to HR Director of changes as appropriate. Communicates and establishes networks with different agencies, including police, MOL, etc

8. Keeps abreast with changes in Qatar Legislation and Current Affairs, Qatar Labor Law, Qatar Immigration and Supreme Council of Health’s Procedures and Policies.

9. Oversee the issues in Immigration such as resident permit applications, RP renewals, transfer of sponsorship, medical examinations schedules, driving licenses, health cards, and work permits of employees.

10. Examines and ensures completeness of employee’s documents related to working in Qatar.

11. Oversee the maintenance of the company cars, approval of quotations, repairs, etc.

12. Translates documents related work & drafts letters into Arabic & English.

13. Executes other tasks assigned by the Management.

Requirements:

Fluency in spoken and written English and Arabic (Essential / Mandatory)

Thorough knowledge of labor laws and relevant government regulations

Strong knowledge of Qatar Authorities' laws and procedures related to Immigration, Labor, Customs, Municipality, etc.

Professionalism and high stress management skills

Good organization, ability to handle multiple concerns at a time, prioritizing effectively, and giving great attention to details.

Ability to communicate effectively in multi-cultural background.
