Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the procurement of materials, supplies, and services as per company requirements.
- Prepare and process purchase orders, quotations, and other procurement documentation.
- Communicate with suppliers to obtain quotations, negotiate pricing, and confirm delivery schedules.
- Maintain and update vendor databases and purchase records in the ERP or inventory management system.
- Follow up on orders to ensure timely delivery and resolve any discrepancies related to quantity, quality, or pricing.
- Coordinate with internal departments (e.g., Accounts, Operations, Stores) to ensure smooth procurement workflow.
- Assist in evaluating supplier performance based on quality, cost, and delivery.
- Prepare reports on purchase activities, order status, and cost analysis as required.
- Support the Purchase Manager in administrative and logistical tasks as needed.
Qualifications & Skills
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Commerce, or a related field.
Experience:
- 1–3 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain support (freshers with strong analytical and organizational skills may also be considered).
Skills:
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Knowledge of procurement processes and documentation.
- Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel) and ERP software.
- Attention to detail, accuracy, and time management.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
