Job Title: Purchasing Assistant

Work Arrangement: Onsite – Monday - Friday

Position Summary

Lincoln Electric Products Co. Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Procurement Assistant to join our purchasing and supply chain team. This role supports the procurement department in sourcing materials, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring timely delivery of components for manufacturing operations.

This is a full-time, non-exempt position.

Working Conditions: Office Environment, with regular interaction with vendors, production, and warehouse teams.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Procurement Manager in sourcing, evaluating, and negotiating with suppliers for raw materials, components, and services.
  • Prepare purchase orders (POs), track order confirmations, and follow up with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery.
  • Maintain and update supplier databases, price lists, and inventory records in ERP systems.
  • Coordinate with production and inventory control teams to identify material requirements and avoid shortages or overstock.
  • Verify invoices, packing slips, and purchase order accuracy for accounts payable processing.
  • Support cost reduction initiatives by identifying opportunities for improved pricing or alternative sourcing.
  • Assist in monitoring supplier performance, quality, and compliance with company standards.
  • Communicate with internal departments to resolve any procurement-related discrepancies or delays.
  • Maintain organized records of purchase orders, vendor communications, and contracts.
  • Participate in periodic audits and process improvement initiatives within the procurement department.

Skills, Requirements, and Specifications

  • 1-3 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain support (manufacturing environment preferred).
  • Strong understanding of purchasing principles, vendor management, and inventory control.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and ERP software (e.g., SAP, ERP, or similar).
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work under tight deadlines.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and follow-through.
  • Team player with a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Education: High School Diploma, Associate, or Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field preferred.

Pay: $47,709.89 - $57,457.07 per year
