Job Description
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Purchase Assistant with a minimum of 5 years of experience in the manufacturing sector. Candidates with experience in the tobacco industry will be highly preferred. The role involves managing the end-to-end procurement cycle, vendor coordination, inventory control, and ensuring timely material availability.
Key Responsibilities:

Manage the complete purchase cycle from requisition to delivery and invoice closure.

Source, evaluate, and manage suppliers and vendors.

Negotiate prices, payment terms, and delivery schedules.

Prepare purchase orders and handle invoice processing and documentation.

Maintain accurate data entry and purchase records in ERP systems.

Track purchase orders and ensure timely delivery of materials.

Coordinate with stores and production teams for stock and inventory management.
-
Monitor inventory levels to prevent shortages or overstocking.

Maintain strong supplier relationships and resolve vendor-related issues.

Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and standards.

Coordinate and line up with the reporting manager for approvals, discussions, and purchase-related decisions.

Work closely with warehouse, logistics, and production departments to monitor stock availability and material planning.

Track shipment status and ensure timely inward of materials as per production requirements.

Coordinate with the warehouse team for stock reconciliation and inventory accuracy.

Support production planning by ensuring uninterrupted material supply.

Liaise with the logistics team for dispatch schedules and delivery timelines.

Coordinate with the accounts department for invoice verification, payment processing, and SOA (Statement of Accounts) follow-ups.

Ensure proper documentation and timely closure of purchase and payment cycles.
Education:
-
Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline (Commerce / Supply Chain / Business preferred).
Experience:
-
Minimum 3- 5 years of experience in purchasing or procurement (UAE).

Manufacturing industry experience is mandatory.

Tobacco industry experience is highly preferred.
Language Requirements:

English: Good written and verbal communication.

Hindi: Proficient (spoken and written).
