Purchase Assistant

Key Responsibilities :

  • Manage end-to-end procurement process for mechanical, electrical, and civil materials related to Power Plant operations.
  • Identify, evaluate, and develop reliable suppliers for equipment, spares, consumables, and technical services.
  • Obtain competitive quotations and ensure timely placement of purchase orders and contracts.
  • Draft, negotiate, and manage supplier contracts, ensuring terms are favorable and risks are mitigated.
  • Ensure quality, delivery and cost competitiveness.
  • Analyze market trends and pricing to drive efficient procurement strategies

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or Supply Chain Management.
  • Minimum 0-2 years of experience in procurement within a power plant or heavy engineering industry. (Fresher are welcome to apply)
  • Knowledge of power plant operations, civil works, mechanical/electrical components, and industry vendors.
  • Have experience in reading civil/structural drawings and preparing BOQs using AutoCAD or similar tools.

Key Skills:

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Excel, and ERP systems.
  • Strong negotiation, planning, and vendor development skills.
  • Excellent communication and interdepartmental coordination abilities.
  • Attention to detail and ability to handle large volumes of procurement data and documentation.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹12,000.00 - ₹15,000.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Shankar Nagar, Raipur, Chhattisgarh: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
