Job Title: Senior Purchase Executive

Location: Mumbai

Job Deliverables1. Strategic Sourcing & Supplier Management

  • Identify, evaluate, and onboard suppliers aligned with company goals and quality standards.
  • Lead commercial negotiations and secure long-term agreements ensuring cost and quality advantages.
  • Build and sustain strong supplier relationships to support uninterrupted operations.
  • Evaluate supplier performance through regular reviews and audits.

2. Material Procurement & Planning

  • Review and authorize purchase requisitions from multiple departments.
  • Source raw materials, components, and services per technical specifications and production schedules.
  • Coordinate with production and stores to ensure just-in-time material availability.

3. Cost Optimization

  • Analyze supplier quotations, monitor cost trends, and propose cost-saving strategies.
  • Identify alternate vendors and new sourcing opportunities for better commercial value.
  • Track commodity prices and maintain a database of benchmark costs.

4. Quality & Compliance

  • Collaborate with the QA and Engineering teams to ensure material and supplier compliance with company standards.
  • Take corrective actions for quality issues and ensure supplier accountability.
  • Ensure adherence to company procurement policies, industry standards, and legal requirements.

5. Inventory & Process Control

  • Oversee material planning and stock levels to minimize overstocking or shortages.
  • Implement efficient inventory control and vendor-managed inventory systems.
  • Maintain accurate procurement documentation and records.

6. Team & Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Guide and support junior purchase executives in day-to-day operations.
  • Communicate effectively with internal departments to align procurement with business priorities.
  • Provide timely updates on procurement status, challenges, and opportunities.

Skills, Experience & Competencies

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field (MBA preferred).
  • 4–7 years of experience in procurement, preferably in manufacturing or plastic packaging industries.
  • Strong negotiation, analytical, and vendor management skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office and ERP/procurement software.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Integrity, professionalism, and a proactive attitude toward problem-solving.

We are seeking an experienced and result-oriented Senior Purchase Executive to lead procurement operations for Damati Group. The role demands strategic thinking, strong commercial acumen, and the ability to drive efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and supplier excellence across all levels of purchasing activity.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month
