Job Title: Purchase Executive
Reports To: Purchase Manager / Procurement Director

Job Summary

The Purchase Executive is responsible for managing the procurement process, from supplier identification to contract management, ensuring cost-effective acquisition of goods and services while maintaining quality standards and supporting business operations. They play a crucial role in optimizing supply chain efficiency and contributing to organizational profitability.

Key Responsibilities

· Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to obtain the best value for goods and services

· Manage purchase orders, delivery schedules, and supplier performance metrics

· Conduct market research and supplier analysis to identify cost-saving opportunities

· Maintain accurate procurement records and ensure compliance with company policies

· Collaborate with internal departments to understand procurement requirements and specifications

· Build and maintain strong supplier relationships while managing contracts and agreements

· Monitor inventory levels and implement strategies to optimize stock management

· Analyze spending patterns and implement cost reduction initiatives

Skills and Qualifications

Technical Skills

· Proficiency in procurement software and ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.)

· Advanced Microsoft Excel skills for data analysis and reporting

· Knowledge of supply chain management principles and best practices

· Understanding of contract law, negotiation techniques, and vendor management

· Familiarity with quality management systems and compliance requirements

Communication and Interpersonal Skills

· Excellent negotiation and relationship-building abilities

· Strong written and verbal communication skills for supplier interactions

· Ability to present procurement strategies and recommendations to management

· Cross-functional collaboration skills with internal stakeholders

Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills

· Strong analytical thinking for supplier evaluation and cost analysis

· Ability to identify and resolve supply chain issues and bottlenecks

· Data-driven decision-making capabilities for procurement optimization

· Critical thinking skills for risk assessment and mitigation

Educational Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree

Experience

· 2-4 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management

Work Environment

· Full-time office-based role with occasional supplier visits and trade shows

· Collaboration with cross-functional teams and regular interaction with external suppliers

· May require occasional travel for supplier audits and relationship building

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
