Qualification
B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering
2+ years of experience in Procurement / Purchase / Supply Chain (preferably in manufacturing or engineering industry)
Job Summary
The Purchase Executive is responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and procuring mechanical materials, components, and services required for production and operations, while ensuring cost efficiency, quality, and timely delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Identify, evaluate, and develop vendors for mechanical parts, raw materials, and consumables
Prepare and process Purchase Requisitions (PR), Purchase Orders (PO), and follow up for timely delivery
Negotiate prices, payment terms, delivery schedules, and contracts with suppliers
Coordinate with production, planning, quality, and stores departments to understand material requirements
Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and procedures
Monitor inventory levels to avoid shortages or excess stock.
Verify material specifications, drawings, and technical requirements before procurement
Track supplier performance on cost, quality, and delivery
Handle vendor documentation, agreements, and statutory compliance
Resolve issues related to delays, shortages, or quality rejections
Maintain purchase records, MIS reports, and cost-saving data
Skills & Competencies
Strong knowledge of mechanical materials, components, and manufacturing processes
Good negotiation and vendor management skills
Ability to read technical drawings and specifications
Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP / Oracle / Tally / any ERP)
Strong analytical and cost-control mindset
Good communication and coordination skills
Proficient in MS Excel and basic reporting
Experience Required
Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in purchase/procurement
Experience in manufacturing, engineering, automotive, EPC, or industrial sectors preferred
