Key Responsibilities
- Vendor Management: Identify, evaluate, and develop potential suppliers, while managing relationships to ensure favorable rates and quality.
- Procurement & Negotiation: Negotiate prices, terms, and contracts to secure the best value, and process purchase orders (POs).
- Inventory & Logistics: Monitor stock levels to prevent shortages or overstocking, and track shipments for timely delivery.
- Cost Control: Perform market research and cost analyses to identify opportunities for reducing procurement expenses.
- Compliance & Documentation: Ensure all purchasing activities comply with company policies, legal regulations, and maintain accurate records. Amitoje India | BMS +5
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Experience: Proven experience as a purchasing officer, buyer, or in a similar role.
- Skills: Strong negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
- Software: Knowledge of ERP software (e.g., SAP) and MS Office (specifically Excel) is often required.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Business Administration,
