Job Title: Purchase Executive

Location: Sector V, Salt Lake, Kolkata
Salary: ₹13,000 – ₹18,000 per month (Negotiable based on experience)

Job Summary:

The Purchase Executive will be responsible for managing procurement activities along with supporting back-office operations related to purchase documentation, coordination, and data management. The role requires strong negotiation skills, vendor handling, documentation accuracy, and administrative efficiency to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Procurement Responsibilities

  • Identify, evaluate, and finalize vendors/suppliers for materials and services.
  • Negotiate pricing, payment terms, contracts, and delivery schedules.
  • Generate and process purchase orders as per company requirements.
  • Maintain vendor database and build strong supplier relationships.
  • Resolve purchase-related issues such as delays, shortages, or quality concerns.
  • Prepare reports on purchasing activities and cost analysis.

Back Office & Administrative Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate records of purchase orders, invoices, and delivery challans.
  • Coordinate with Accounts for bill verification and payment follow-ups.
  • Update purchase entries and stock details in ERP/Excel sheets.
  • Prepare MIS reports related to procurement and stock movement.
  • Support documentation for audits and compliance requirements.
  • Handle email communication and follow-ups with vendors.
  • Assist management with data compilation and reporting as required.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in Purchase/Procurement or Operations.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and MS Office applications.
  • Basic knowledge of inventory management and documentation processes.
  • Good organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in data handling.
