PURCHASE EXECUTIVE (LOCAL)

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Supplier Management:
  • Source, evaluate, and select local vendors based on price, quality, and reliability.
  • Negotiate contracts and terms with suppliers to secure favorable pricing and agreements.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with local suppliers.
  • Monitor and resolve any issues or discrepancies with suppliers.
  • Procurement Operations:
  • Process and manage purchase orders and related documents in accordance with company policy.
  • Track the status of orders to ensure timely delivery and fulfillment.
  • Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and supplier information.
  • Authorize payments and manage purchasing expenses.
  • Internal Collaboration & Strategy:
  • Collaborate with internal departments to understand and meet their purchasing requirements.
  • Conduct market research to stay updated on industry trends, new procurement methods, and pricing fluctuations.
  • Develop and implement purchasing strategies that align with business objectives and promote cost-effectiveness.
  • Inventory Management:
  • Monitor and maintain inventory levels to optimize costs and prevent stockouts.
  • Ensure the quality of procured items and address any quality-related issues.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Strong negotiation and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of vendor sourcing practices and supply chain procedures.
  • Ability to maintain accurate records and prepare cost analyses.
  • Proficiency in relevant purchasing software is a plus.
  • Familiarity with local market trends and regulations.
