We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Purchase Executive with expertise in sourcing and procuring luggage and travel-related products. The role involves vendor development, price negotiations, procurement planning, and ensuring timely availability of products while maintaining quality standards and cost efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify, evaluate, and develop reliable suppliers for luggage and travel accessories.
- Manage end-to-end procurement cycle, including purchase orders, follow-ups, and timely deliveries.
- Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and contracts to achieve cost savings.
- Monitor market trends, competitor products, and raw material costs to optimize procurement strategy.
- Ensure compliance with company standards for product quality and specifications.
- Maintain accurate records of purchase transactions, supplier contracts, and inventory levels.
- Coordinate with logistics, warehouse, and sales teams to ensure smooth supply chain operations.
- Build long-term relationships with suppliers to secure favorable terms and consistent product quality.
- Work closely with the product development/merchandising team for new designs, styles, and innovations in luggage.
- Track key procurement KPIs (cost savings, lead times, vendor performance).
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
- Minimum 3–5 years’ proven experience in procurement/purchasing within the luggage, bags, or consumer goods industry.
- Strong negotiation, vendor management, and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in ERP systems, MS Excel, and procurement software.
- Knowledge of import/export procedures and international sourcing is an advantage.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
