Position Overview

Kuniya Group of Institutions is seeking a highly skilled and proactive Purchase Manager to lead procurement operations in our building construction division. The role involves managing vendor relationships, negotiating contracts, ensuring cost-effective and timely procurement of construction materials, and aligning purchasing strategies with project requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement effective procurement strategies aligned with project timelines and budgets.
  • Source, evaluate, and finalize suppliers/vendors for construction materials, equipment, and services.
  • Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts to ensure cost optimization and quality standards.
  • Monitor market trends and identify opportunities for strategic sourcing.
  • Coordinate with project managers, site engineers, and the store/inventory team to ensure timely material availability.
  • Maintain accurate procurement records, purchase orders, and supplier contracts.
  • Establish and monitor vendor performance metrics (delivery time, quality, compliance).
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, legal requirements, and industry standards.
  • Forecast demand for materials and plan purchases accordingly.
  • Lead and mentor the procurement team to achieve departmental objectives.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Civil/Construction Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in procurement/purchasing within the building construction industry.
  • Strong knowledge of construction materials, suppliers, and market dynamics.
  • Proven negotiation and contract management skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and ERP/Procurement software.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and leadership skills.
