Key Responsibilities:
- Procurement and Sourcing:Identifying and selecting reliable suppliers, negotiating contracts, and ensuring timely delivery of goods.
- Vendor Management:Building and maintaining strong relationships with vendors, managing vendor performance, and onboarding new vendors.
- Inventory Management:Monitoring inventory levels, managing stock, and ensuring the availability of necessary supplies to meet production needs.
- Quality Control:Ensuring that all purchased materials meet quality and regulatory standards.
- Cost Management:Analyzing costs, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and negotiating favorable pricing.
- Documentation and Record Keeping:Maintaining accurate documentation of contracts, pricing agreements, and purchase orders.
- Collaboration and Communication:Working with other departments, such as production, quality control, and regulatory affairs.
- Strategic Planning:Contributing to the development of purchasing strategies to meet the company's goals.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as supply chain management, logistics, or business administration is preferred.
- Experience: Several years of experience in purchasing or procurement, ideally in the pharmaceutical industry.
- Skills: Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills are essential.
- Software Proficiency: Experience with procurement software and databases is also helpful.
- Knowledge of Regulatory Standards: Familiarity with relevant regulations and guidelines is necessary.
