Objective: To ensure timely procurement and delivery of materials and goods to all 15 construction sites.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess material requirements by coordinating with site project managers and engineers.
- Develop and execute purchase schedules to meet project timelines.
Vendor Management:
- Identify reliable vendors and negotiate terms for cost-effective procurement.
- Build and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure consistent quality and delivery.
Inventory Management:
- Monitor stock levels of critical materials and initiate timely reorders.
- Maintain a detailed inventory of materials at central and site levels.
Delivery Coordination:
- Ensure timely delivery of materials to all sites by coordinating with logistics teams and vendors.
- Address any delays or issues in material delivery promptly.
Cost Management:
- Optimize material costs without compromising on quality.
- Prepare and manage procurement budgets.
Quality Assurance:
- Inspect materials upon delivery to ensure they meet specified quality standards.
- Address quality issues or discrepancies with vendors immediately.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain all purchase records, invoices, and material receipts.
- Provide regular updates to the management on procurement status and challenges.
Skills Required:
- Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
- Knowledge of construction materials and procurement processes.
- Proficiency in inventory and procurement software.
