Purchase Officer

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Purchase Officer with a strong background in manufacturing, automotive, steel, or HVAC industries. The ideal candidate will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and procuring materials, equipment, and services while ensuring cost efficiency, quality standards, and timely delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle end-to-end procurement of raw materials, spare parts, equipment, and consumables.
• Source suppliers for steel, automotive components, HVAC materials, electrical and mechanical items.
• Obtain and evaluate quotations, negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules.
• Prepare LPOs and ensure timely follow-up with vendors.
• Coordinate with production, maintenance, and project teams to understand material requirements.
• Maintain supplier database and develop new vendor relationships.
• Monitor stock levels and coordinate with store/warehouse team.
• Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and approval procedures.
• Handle import purchases (if applicable) and coordinate with logistics team.
• Prepare procurement reports and cost comparison statements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Engineering, or related field.
• 3-6 years of experience as a Purchase/Procurement Officer.
• Mandatory experience in Manufacturing / Automotive / Steel / HVAC industry.
• Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
• Knowledge of technical materials (steel, mechanical components, HVAC parts, etc.).
• Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP / Oracle / Tally / similar).
• Good communication skills.
• Ability to join immediately or within short notice preferred.
