Purchase Officer

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and evaluate suppliers, vendors, and subcontractors.
  • Obtain quotations, compare prices, and prepare purchase orders.
  • Procure construction materials such as MEP materials, civil materials, and equipment.
  • Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and site teams for material requirements.
  • Track orders and ensure timely delivery to project sites.
  • Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers.
  • Maintain records of purchases, pricing, and supplier performance.
  • Ensure purchased materials meet project specifications and quality standards.
  • Manage supplier relationships and resolve any supply issues.
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with the store department.
  • Prepare procurement reports for management.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Business Administration, Supply Chain, or related field.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of UAE experience in procurement or purchasing, preferably in construction companies.
  • Strong knowledge of construction materials and suppliers in the UAE market.
  • Good negotiation and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, Excel, and ERP systems.
