Job Title: Procurement Executive – Purchase / Railway / Foundry

Department :Purchase / Procurement

Location: Bahalgarh, sonipat

Key Responsibilities:

Procure materials, spare parts, and foundry castings / raw materials required for railway / foundry operations in line with production schedules.

Source and evaluate suppliers: identify new vendors, negotiate prices, payment terms, delivery schedules and quality.

Maintain vendor database: pre‑qualify vendors for foundry products (foundry castings, patterns, cores, moulds etc.), railway components or as per requirement.

Raise purchase requisitions, issue purchase orders (POs), follow up with suppliers to ensure timely delivery.

Coordinate with internal stakeholders (production / maintenance / stores / quality) to ensure specifications, quality and delivery compliance.

Monitor inventory levels; ensure materials required are ordered to avoid production delays but also avoid excess inventory.

Manage vendor performance: quality, delivery, cost, and resolve issues like delays, non‑conformances.

Use SAP (MM / SD or relevant module) to maintain procurement transactions: creating POs, tracking deliveries, GRNs, vendor invoices etc.

Maintain records, prepare reports: purchase reports, cost savings, vendor performance, pending orders, forecast requirements.

Ensure compliance with organizational policies (safety, quality, regulatory) and railway / foundry industry standards.

Cost control: strive for cost savings via negotiation, alternate sourcing, bulk purchase etc.

Qualifications & Experience:

Education: Graduate (Bachelor’s degree) preferably in Commerce / Business / Engineering or similar field.

Experience: 8‑9 years of procurement / purchasing experience, preferably in the railway supply industry, foundry products or heavy manufacturing.

Good knowledge of foundry processes, materials, casting specifications is a plus.

Proficiency in SAP (especially procurement module, MM) is mandatory.

Strong negotiation skills; supplier sourcing and management.

Good understanding of quality standards relevant to railway / foundry industry.

Strong communication, coordination, stakeholder management skills.

Analytical skills, good with numbers; ability to monitor cost, inventory, delivery metrics.

Skills & Attributes:

Attention to detail; accuracy in PO creation, vendor contract terms etc.

Good planning & organisation; ability to handle multiple purchase orders / vendors simultaneously.

Problem solving; ability to handle supply chain disruptions or quality issues.

Integrity, transparency in dealing with suppliers.

Team‑oriented; collaborative with other departments (quality, stores, production).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹50,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month
