Responsibilities:

Purchase materials, supplies, and services on the most favorable terms for the organization.

Ensure timely and efficient procurement to meet operational needs.

Supplier Qualification and Management:

Identify and qualify potential suppliers based on quality, cost, and reliability.

Maintain and manage relationships with suppliers to ensure continuous supply and performance.

Bid Evaluation and Negotiation:

Evaluate supplier bids and proposals to determine the best value for the organization.

Negotiate prices, terms, and conditions with suppliers to achieve cost savings and favorable agreements.

Quality and Delivery Assurance:

Monitor and ensure supplier quality and delivery performance.

Address and resolve any issues related to supplier performance or product quality.

Purchase Tracking and Documentation:

Track all purchases and maintain accurate records of procurement activities.

Database Management:

Maintain an up-to-date database of supplier information, including contact details, pricing, and performance records.

Regularly update and audit supplier information to ensure accuracy and completeness.

Qualifications You Must Have:

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field of study and at least 3 years of relevant experience

A higher level degree may substitute for experience

Related experience may be considered in lieu of required education

Basic accounting skills

Experience with Material Management Software

Comprehensive written, verbal and analytical skills

Ability to manage multiple proposals at one time
