Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze procurement data to identify cost-saving opportunities, supplier performance trends, and purchasing inefficiencies.
  • Work closely with the engineering and production teams to forecast material requirements based on historical sales data.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of supplier scorecards and KPIs.
  • Support the optimization of inventory by preparing data-driven insights and recommendations.
  • Monitor inventory levels and lead times to minimize stockouts or overstock scenarios.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery and resolve any supply-related issues.
  • Maintain and update procurement databases, reports, and records in ERP systems.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field. OR 2+ years of experience in purchasing, procurement analysis, or supply chain within a manufacturing or industrial environment; hydraulics or related industry experience preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel and data analysis tools.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certification in supply chain or procurement (e.g., CPSM, CSCP) is a plus.
  • Knowledge of hydraulic components and systems is highly desirable.
  • Experience with lean manufacturing or continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and procurement software.

Physical Demands

  • Regularly required to sit, type, and read.
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
  • Must be able to pass criminal background checks, pre-placement health appraisals, and drug screening.
  • Work environment regularly exposes employees to a light noise level.
  • Employees may be required to enter the Company's shop area and visit customer sites where the noise level may be moderate to high.
