Purchasing and Inventory Management Specialist

Maintenance, repair and operations (MRO) refers to the activities that keep our company running on a day-to-day basis. We rely on our supply chains to provide the materials, tools and components we need for our manufacturing and packaging operations.

Key Responsibilities for this position:

• Generate requisitions and purchase orders in SAP.
• Obtain necessary authorizations and approvals per procedures in order to make MRO purchases.
• Monitor and maintain MRO Inventory
• Maintain Cost – quality relation pursuing the maximum savings for the company
• ·Follow up, expedite, and negotiate changes relative to delivery and supplier performance
• Set up new vendors in SAP and maintain the proper records for existing vendors
• Liaison between site and the accounting department
• ·Receive stock items to inventory
• Issue materials out to requesting departments.
• ·Maintain area cleanliness.
• ·Deliver items to departments.
• Perform cycle counts
• May also assist the warehouse when needed with shipping and receiving materials
• Assist with inventory
• Perform additional responsibilities as required

Job Requirements

• A high school diploma or equivalent
• Good computer and Microsoft Office skills, SAP experience is a plus
• Ability to organize and prioritize work in the face of shifting demands and tight deadlines
• Ability and willingness to work extra hours as needed

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
