PURCHASING BUYER – TCS COMPONENTS
SOUTHFIELD, MICHIGAN – WORLD HEADQUARTERS
Responsible for all purchasing pre and post launch activity focusing on the program team, supplier and customer requirements integrating data/quote management, contract negotiations, tool timing, CR/CN process flow, Profile management, complete launch readiness, etc.
The Role:
Your work will include, but not be limited to:
Direct commodity buying responsibility as well as directly providing leadership within the group
Extensive work experience and judgment required to plan and accomplish strategic goals
Negotiates long term agreements and yearly savings in line with expectations
Develops commodity strategies to achieve results
Understanding of commercial terms and total cost management concepts required

Your Qualifications:
Minimum of 5 years of commodity or relevant purchasing experience
Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Business, or equivalent experience
Ability to align with and influence internal program teams, suppliers, and customers
Ensures accurate data management to meet program timelines
Familiarity with commercial terms and performance‑to‑target concepts
Results‑driven and proactive approach from program inception through launch
Communication verbal and written and organizational skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
Ability to lead within a team
Ability to build strong internal and external relationships
High level of integrity
Strong written communication and presentation skills
Priority setting and time‑management excellence
Action‑oriented and produces results
Ability to work effectively in a highly productive, fast‑changing environment
Superior conflict‑resolution skills while maintaining strong relationships
Independent workload prioritization, focusing on the most critical and impactful activities
Bonus If You Have:
MBA
Automotive cross-functional experience is recommended
Experience with Electronic and Thermo Comfort commodity
Previous SAP ERP experience
