Purchasing Coordinator

This position is located at our Creve Coeur, MO office. This is NOT a remote position.

Westin Trading, Inc. is a national trading company based in Saint Louis Missouri. Focusing on business-to-business sales, we have become a leader in the wholesale grocery industry.

Our primary business is buying and selling full truckloads of nationally branded grocery products.

We are looking for a Purchasing Coordinator.

The Ideal candidate will posses previous negotiation & purchasing experience. You will work with our Sales Account Managers in their day-to-day activities. You will also do Data Analysis, create reports, and negotiate costs when necessary.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work with our current sources in obtaining new offers and negotiating costs.
• Accurately enter product for sale in company system and maintain these quotes weekly.
• Assist Account Managers with purchase transactions and cost negotiations when needed.
• Analize data and make logical inferences
• Product research using company and industry databases.

Skills:

• Strong communication skills with experience via phone is critical.
• Ability to work with a multitude of vendors simultaneously.
• Previous experience, and success, negotiating costs.
• Must possess accurate entry skills.
• Must be able to work efficiently both independently and within a team.
• The ideal candidate will be self-motivated and driven.
• Ability to organize and prioritize within a fast-moving environment.
