Purchasing Coordinator

B&B Manufacturing, LLC., a Solve IMG company, produces and distributes custom and standard synchronous drive products that include timing belts, timing belt pulleys, roller chain sprockets, gears and related parts for the power transmission and precision mechanical component industries. We supply distributors and manufacturers with thousands of various components. As we continue to scale, we are seeking an experienced Purchasing Coordinator to support and execute purchasing activities within a collaborative procurement team.

The Purchasing Coordinator is expected to manage purchasing tasks with minimal oversight while maintaining accuracy, responsiveness, and strong supplier communication. This role may support purchasing activities involving both domestic and international suppliers.

This position is ideal for a mid-level candidate with 2+ years experience and will report to the Purchasing Supervisor.

POSITION DESCRIPTION:
This is a mid‑level, individual‑contributor purchasing role reporting to the Purchasing Supervisor. The position is designed for professionals with established purchasing experience who are comfortable operating within defined processes and do not seek managerial or entry‑level responsibilities.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Independently process and manage purchase orders for assigned materials and suppliers
• Confirm supplier receipt of purchase orders and actively follow up on acknowledgments
• Monitor order status, delivery dates, and open commitments; proactively escalate issues
• Communicate with suppliers regarding pricing, availability, changes, and delivery timing
• Coordinate with Inventory Control to support inventory availability and expediting needs
• Maintain accurate purchasing records, logs, and ERP data
• Support purchasing activities involving domestic and international suppliers
• Assist with indirect purchasing of office, factory, and janitorial supplies as needed
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives related to purchasing processes
• Attend meetings and support cross-functional collaboration as required
• Follow all company safety, quality, and procedural standards

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 2+ years of experience in purchasing, supply chain, or operations support roles
• Strong proficiency with ERP systems and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
• Ability to manage multiple priorities with minimal supervision
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Experience in manufacturing or distribution environments
• Exposure to offshore sourcing or international supplier coordination
• Familiarity with tariffs, duties, or landed cost concepts
