Job Overview

The Purchasing Manager oversees and optimizes our procurement operations, including procurement/purchasing, vendor management and supply chain strategy. The ideal candidate will oversee sourcing, vendor management, materials planning, and cost control—ensuring that all purchasing activities support production schedules, project timelines, and budgetary goals.


Duties

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with production and project demands.
  • Source, evaluate, and manage vendor relationships to ensure quality, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with suppliers for raw materials, construction components, and services.
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate just-in-time delivery to minimize carrying costs while avoiding delays.
  • Collaborate with Production, Engineering, and Project Management teams to forecast material requirements and resolve supply chain issues.
  • Analyze market trends and supply conditions to anticipate risks and opportunities.
  • Implement systems and KPIs to track purchasing performance and drive continuous improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant regulatory requirements.
  • Support sustainability and ethical sourcing goals in procurement activities.


Requirements

  • Proven experience in purchasing management or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of contract management principles and practices.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or related field; Master’s preferred.
  • 5+ years of purchasing or supply chain experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of construction or manufacturing materials procurement preferred.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
