We are looking for a teammate with the following qualifications to be appointed as a " Purchasing Specialist " at the Head Office of our leading company in the forest products sector in Turkey and in the world, located in İstanbul.


Qualifications


  • BS degree in Engineering, Logistics or Business Administration (preferably Industrial Engineer, Management Engineer, Chemical Engineer),
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in purchasing, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environmen,
  • Strong knowledge of procurement processes, contract management, and ERP systems (SAP experience is a plus),
  • Fluent in English,
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications,
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and analytical skills,
  • Proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities under deadlines.


Job Description


  • Execute daily purchasing operations in line with company procedures and policies,
  • Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to ensure best quality, cost, and delivery performance,
  • Prepare purchase orders and follow up on order confirmations, shipment, and delivery schedules,
  • Monitor supplier performance and develop long-term relationships to ensure continuous improvement,
  • Collaborate closely with planning, production, and logistics teams to ensure uninterrupted supply,
  • Track market trends and price fluctuations to support cost optimization efforts,
  • Maintain procurement data and documentation accurately within ERP systems,
  • Participate in supplier audits and contribute to strategic sourcing projects.
