Purchasing Specialist

Otis Elevator is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Purchasing Specialist to join our team located in Beylikdüzü/İstanbul. The successful candidate will be responsible for sourcing, purchasing, and managing the procurement of goods and services for our organization.

Responsibilities

• Create orders in line with approved purchase requests from departments
• Ensure that orders are delivered on time and in accordance with the order price
• Receive order confirmation from the supplier to check that the order content / product / service to be supplied is correct
• Check the compatibility of the invoice issued by the supplier and the documents sent with the goods with the registered information
• Manage and tracking supply contracts with suppliers
• Search for alternative suppliers, to get price offers
• Work on optimum cost solutions with suppliers
• Provide logistics organization in the material supply process

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in engineering, business administration, or supply chain management
• At least 2 years of experienced in flat metal purchases (galvanized sheet, stainless sheet purchases)
• Very good command of English
• Analytical thinker with attention to detail and a results-oriented mindset
• Ability to use MS Office programs efficiently- advanced level of MS Excel knowledge is must
• Worked with overseas suppliers; experience in import processes will be an advantage
