PV Designer Engineer

We are looking for a PV Designer Engineer for a client in Karachi.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop solar PV systems (on-grid, off-grid, and hybrid) using AutoCAD, PVSyst, Helioscope, or similar tools.
• Perform site assessments and feasibility studies including load analysis, shading, and performance simulations.
• Prepare single-line diagrams, electrical layouts, and equipment specifications.
• Size and select system components such as panels, inverters, batteries, and cables.
• Coordinate with procurement and project teams to ensure accurate implementation of designs.
• Review and ensure compliance with local electrical codes, safety standards, and utility regulations.
• Estimate system performance, cost, and energy yield for client proposals.
• Support project commissioning, troubleshooting, and system optimization when needed.
• Maintain documentation and as-built drawings for all completed projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Renewable Energy, or Mechanical Engineering.
• 3–5 years of relevant experience in PV system design and analysis.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, PVSyst, Helioscope, MS Office, and related design tools.
• Strong understanding of solar PV systems, electrical design principles, and system sizing.
• Familiarity with NEPRA, DISCO, and IEC standards related to solar installations.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
