Job Title: Solar Project Engineer

Department: Projects (Solar)
Reports To: Project Manager / Head of Projects
Location: Karachi

Job Purpose:

To plan, execute, and supervise solar energy projects from design to commissioning, ensuring timely delivery, technical accuracy, quality standards, and client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct site surveys to assess technical feasibility and gather project data.
• Prepare system designs, layouts, and BOQs based on client requirements and site conditions.
• Coordinate with the design, procurement, and installation teams for smooth project execution.
• Supervise installation, testing, and commissioning of solar systems (on-grid, off-grid, and hybrid).
• Ensure all activities comply with safety standards and quality protocols.
• Maintain project documentation, reports, and progress updates.
• Communicate with clients and internal teams to resolve technical issues.
• Support the Project Manager in planning, scheduling, and resource allocation.
• Provide technical support during pre- and post-installation phases.
• Assist in training field technicians and maintaining project handover documents.

Requirements:

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical / Electronics / Renewable Energy Engineering or related field.

Experience:

• 2–5 years of experience in solar project execution, preferably in on-grid, hybrid, or commercial-scale systems.

Technical Skills:

• Strong understanding of PV system design, solar components, and electrical systems.
• Familiar with tools such as PVsyst, AutoCAD, MS Project, and Excel.
• Knowledge of NEPRA, AEDB, and relevant local solar regulations is an advantage.

Soft Skills:

• Excellent communication and coordination skills.
• Problem-solving mindset and attention to detail.
• Ability to work in field environments and manage multiple sites.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

• Project completion within timeline and budget.
• Quality compliance and client satisfaction.
• Accuracy of BOQ and design.
• Coordination effectiveness with procurement and site teams.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Rs90,000.00 - Rs95,000.00 per month
