PV Solar Engineer

We are hiring PV Solar Engineer for our client in Karachi.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop detailed PV system designs for residential, commercial, and utility-scale projects using software such as PVSyst, Helioscope, AutoCAD, and PV*SOL.
• Conduct solar resource and energy yield assessments to evaluate project feasibility and optimize system performance.
• Prepare single-line diagrams, layout drawings, and cable schedules in accordance with European electrical and safety standards.
• Collaborate with engineering teams in Europe to provide technical support during project development, procurement, and construction.
• Review and validate technical documentation, vendor datasheets, and product specifications.
• Ensure all designs meet relevant IEC and European regulatory standards (EN codes, grid connection requirements, etc.).
• Assist in performance analysis, troubleshooting, and post-installation optimization.
• Support BOM (Bill of Materials) preparation and cost estimation for tenders and project proposals.
• Stay updated with solar technologies, tools, and regional regulations to ensure design accuracy and compliance.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Renewable Energy, or Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience: 3 to 5 years in solar PV design, simulation, or project engineering, preferably with exposure to European or international projects.
• Strong proficiency in PVSyst, AutoCAD, Helioscope, and MS Office.
• Working knowledge of IEC/EN standards, electrical codes, and grid interconnection requirements in Europe (advantageous).
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate remotely with international teams.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset.
