PWHT Technician

Job Description:


  • Perform local and furnace PWHT on piping, pressure vessels, and structural components.
  • Set up heaters, ceramic pads, thermocouple attachments, insulation, and control units.
  • Monitor heating, soak time, ramp rates, and controlled cooling in accordance with procedures.
  • Operate PWHT control panels, temperature recorders, and transformers.
  • Interpret isometric drawings, heat treatment procedures, and client specifications.
  • Maintain accurate heat charts and ensure calibration certificates are up to date.
  • Inspect equipment before and after use to ensure reliability and safety.
  • Follow all company HSE standards and permit-to-work systems.
  • Coordinate with welders, NDT teams, supervisors, and clients during operations.


Qualification:-

2–5 years’ experience performing PWHT in the NDT, fabrication, or oil & gas industry.

Hands-on experience with resistance heating systems, furnaces, and temperature control units.

Technical certificate or diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, or related field (preferred).

PWHT training or certification from a recognized institution (advantageous).
