Position: QA Manager
Location: Remote (Full-time, Work from Home – EST Time Zone)
Reports To: Head of Engineering / CTO
About the Role
We are seeking an accomplished and visionary QA Manager with at least 15 years of experience in Quality Assurance, specializing in test automation frameworks and leading large-scale QA teams. The ideal candidate will be responsible for shaping the QA strategy, managing enterprise-level testing initiatives, and driving excellence in product quality. This role requires deep hands-on expertise in modern automation tools such as Playwright, Cypress, and Selenium, along with proven leadership experience in managing distributed, cross-functional QA teams.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
- Define and execute the organization’s QA strategy, processes, and best practices.
- Build, scale, and mentor high-performing QA teams across multiple locations and domains.
- Collaborate with engineering, product, and DevOps leaders to align QA goals with overall business objectives.
Automation & Tools
- Drive the design, development, and implementation of robust automation frameworks using Playwright, Cypress, and Selenium.
- Ensure test automation is integrated into CI/CD pipelines for continuous delivery.
- Evaluate emerging QA tools and technologies to optimize testing efficiency.
Quality Assurance & Delivery
- Oversee end-to-end testing activities including functional, regression, performance, and security testing.
- Establish clear quality metrics, dashboards, and reporting mechanisms for leadership.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory, security, and industry standards.
Collaboration & Governance
- Work closely with development, DevOps, and product teams to ensure smooth releases.
- Facilitate risk-based testing, release readiness reviews, and defect triage meetings.
- Champion a culture of quality across the organization.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 15+ years of QA experience, with at least 7 years in leadership roles.
- Proven expertise with automation tools (Playwright, Cypress, Selenium).
- Strong background in CI/CD, Agile/Scrum, and DevOps environments.
- Experience leading large QA teams (50+ members) across multiple projects.
- Excellent knowledge of test strategy, planning, execution, and reporting.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
- Exceptional communication and leadership abilities.
