QA/QC Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

1. Quality Assurance:

- Develop and implement project-specific QA/QC plans, ITPs (Inspection and Test Plans), and checklists.

- Review and approve material submittals, method statements, and shop drawings for compliance with specifications.

- Ensure all quality control documentation is compiled and maintained in accordance with project requirements.

2. Site Inspection & Testing:

- Conduct site inspections for civil, structural, architectural, and MEP works.

Monitor workmanship and ensure compliance with approved drawings, project specifications, and international standards (e.g., ISO, ASTM, ACI, BS).

- Coordinate with third-party testing laboratories and review test results (e.g., - concrete compressive strength, soil compaction, rebar tests).

Issue Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and follow up on corrective/preventive actions.

3. Documentation & Reporting:

- Maintain accurate and complete QA/QC records such as inspection reports, test results, NCR logs, and quality audits.

- Prepare weekly/monthly quality reports for senior management and clients.

- Track the status of quality-related issues and coordinate resolutions with relevant project teams.

4. Coordination:

- Liaise with clients, consultants, and subcontractors regarding QA/QC matters.

- Attend site meetings and inspections with stakeholders.

- Provide technical support to the construction team for quality-related issues.

5. Compliance & Safety:

- Ensure all activities adhere to the QA/QC procedures and regulatory requirements.

- Promote a quality culture and safe working practices on site.

Qualifications:

1- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, Construction Management, or related field.

2 Minimum [5+] years of QA/QC experience in High-Rise building construction.

3- Strong knowledge of construction materials, building codes, and QA/QC processes.

4- Familiarity with international standards (ISO 9001, BS, ASTM, ACI, etc.).

5- Proficient in Microsoft Office and QA/QC documentation tools (e.g., AutoCAD, MS Project, Primavera, or similar).

6- QA/QC certifications (e.g., ISO 9001 Auditor, CSWIP, etc.) are an advantage.
