Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented QA/QC Engineer to support project quality assurance and quality control activities on construction projects in the UAE. The successful candidate will assist the QA/QC Manager in ensuring that all works comply with project specifications, company procedures, and applicable international quality standards.

The role involves site inspections, quality documentation control, audits, and coordination with project teams, consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers to maintain the highest standards of quality and compliance.

Key Responsibilities Quality Management System Implementation

• Assist in the implementation and maintenance of the project Quality Assurance and Quality Control (QA/QC) system.
• Support preparation and continuous improvement of Project Quality Plans (PQP) and related quality documentation.
• Review and monitor Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), Method Statements, and quality procedures.
• Ensure compliance with contractual requirements and quality standards.

Quality Control & Site Inspection

• Conduct site inspections to verify that construction activities comply with approved drawings, specifications, and ITPs.
• Ensure required inspections and testing activities are performed and documented.
• Identify quality issues and issue Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) or Quality Violation Notices when necessary.
• Monitor implementation of corrective and preventive actions.

Audit & Compliance

• Assist in internal and external quality audits of project systems and subcontractor activities.
• Track and follow up on NCR closures and corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with company procedures and project quality requirements.

Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain organized quality documentation and records for project activities.
• Assist in preparing monthly QA/QC reports for management and clients.
• Support submission of quality documents to consultants and clients.

Training & Coordination

• Conduct quality induction sessions for project staff and subcontractors.
• Promote quality awareness and compliance through training and workshops.
• Attend coordination meetings with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers.

Project Close-Out

• Support final inspections and project handover activities.
• Ensure all quality documentation, inspections, and defect closures are completed.
• Assist in archiving project quality records after project completion.

Supplier & Material Quality Control

• Conduct inspections at supplier or vendor facilities when required.
• Coordinate with laboratory teams for material testing and compliance verification.

EHS Responsibilities

• Participate in mandatory EHS induction training.
• Report unsafe acts or conditions immediately.
• Follow site safety procedures and emergency evacuation protocols.
• Ensure proper labeling and safe storage of materials and equipment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent).
• Minimum 5 years of QA/QC experience in construction projects in the UAE.
• Strong knowledge of project documentation, ITPs, Method Statements, and inspection procedures.
• Familiarity with international standards such as:
• ISO 9001
• ISO 14001
• ISO 45001

Preferred

• ISO Lead Auditor or Quality Management certification
• Experience working with consultants and client inspection processes

Pay: AED8,000.00 - AED15,000.00 per month
