Job Summary:

The Quality Control Specialist is responsible for ensuring generator sets, electrical control panels, and related components meet company quality standards, engineering specifications, and industry regulations. The role involves conducting inspections during assembly, testing generator performance, and ensuring that all products delivered to clients comply with required technical and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct quality inspections on generator sets, electrical control panels and related components during assembly and prior to delivery.
• Inspect incoming materials, parts, and components to ensure they meet required specifications and quality standards.
• Verify generator assembly processes including engine installation, alternator coupling, wiring, control panel installation, and testing.
• Perform functional and load testing of generators to ensure proper performance and reliability.
• Review technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and specifications to confirm compliance during production.
• Identify defects, non-conformities, or deviations and coordinate corrective actions with the production and engineering teams.
• Maintain detailed inspection reports, quality records, and documentation.
• Ensure compliance with company quality standards and applicable electrical and safety regulations.
• Monitor quality control procedures during generator assembly, panel wiring, and testing processes.
• Conduct root cause analysis for quality issues and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
• Ensure proper use and calibration of measuring and testing equipment.
• Support internal and external quality audits when required.
• Coordinate with operations, engineering, and service teams to continuously improve product quality.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in quality assurance or quality control within generator manufacturing, electrical panels, or industrial equipment assembly.
• Strong understanding of generator systems including engines, alternators, control panels, and synchronization panels.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, technical drawings, and wiring diagrams.
• Knowledge of generator testing procedures and quality inspection methods.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office for reporting and documentation.
• Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Experience in generator load bank testing and commissioning.
• Familiarity with IEC standards and electrical safety regulations.
• Knowledge of quality management systems such as ISO standards.
• Experience working in generator assembly or power equipment manufacturing companies.
