QA/QC Engineer (Civil)

Should have Minimum 4 Years of experience in Joinery section

The QA/QC Joinery Engineer is responsible for ensuring that all joinery and woodwork products meet quality standards, project specifications, and client requirements. This role oversees inspection processes from raw materials through production to final installation.

Key Responsibilities1. Quality Control & Inspection

• Inspect incoming raw materials (wood, veneers, laminates, hardware).
• Monitor production processes (cutting, edging, assembly, polishing, finishing).
• Conduct in-process and final inspections of joinery items (doors, cabinets, wardrobes, furniture).
• Ensure compliance with approved shop drawings and specifications.

2. QA/QC Documentation

• Prepare and maintain:
• Inspection reports (IRs)
• Material inspection reports (MIRs)
• Checklists and quality records
• Review and approve method statements and ITPs (Inspection & Test Plans).
• Maintain proper documentation for audits and client submissions.

3. Standards & Compliance

• Ensure work complies with:
• Project specifications
• Company quality standards
• Relevant codes and industry standards
• Implement QA/QC procedures and policies within the factory.

4. Defect Management

• Identify defects and non-conformities.
• Issue NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports).
• Follow up on corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
• Coordinate with production teams to resolve quality issues.

5. Coordination

• Work closely with:
• Production team
• Design/technical team
• Site engineers and project managers
• Liaise with clients/consultants for inspections and approvals.

6. Site Inspection (if applicable)

• Inspect installation of joinery works at site.
• Ensure proper handling, fixing, alignment, and finishing.
• Coordinate snagging and handover inspections.

Required Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in:
• Civil Engineering / Wood Technology / Interior Design / Furniture Design
• QA/QC certification is an advantage.

Experience

• 3–7 years in joinery / woodworks manufacturing or fit-out industry.
• Experience in factory production and site installation is preferred.

Pay: AED7,500.00 - AED8,000.00 per month
