QA/QC Engineer – Lagoon & Swimming Pool (Civil & MEP)

Position Overview:

The QA/QC Engineer is responsible for ensuring that all civil and MEP works related to lagoon, swimming pool, and water feature construction are executed in compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and approved drawings. The role involves implementing quality control procedures, conducting inspections, managing documentation, and ensuring compliance with both internal and external quality requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and maintain project-specific QA/QC plans, inspection test plans (ITPs), and method statements.
• Conduct regular inspections and quality checks for civil and MEP works associated with lagoon and swimming pool projects, including waterproofing, concrete works, piping, filtration, electrical, and mechanical installations.
• Verify that all materials and workmanship comply with the approved drawings, project specifications, and quality standards.
• Review and approve material submittals, method statements, and test results.
• Monitor and verify the calibration of testing and measuring equipment.
• Ensure proper documentation of inspections, test reports, and quality records.
• Coordinate with consultants, clients, and subcontractors for inspections and quality-related matters.
• Identify non-conformances, issue NCRs, and follow up on corrective and preventive actions.
• Support the project team in technical clarifications, quality training, and audits.
• Assist in final inspections and project handover documentation.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Mechanical/Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 5–8 years of experience in QA/QC roles for lagoon, swimming pool, water feature, or similar aquatic construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of waterproofing systems, piping networks, filtration, and pool MEP systems.
• Familiar with relevant quality standards and testing procedures (ASTM, BS, ISO).
• Experience in preparing ITPs, method statements, and QA/QC reports.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills with consultants and clients.
• Certification in QA/QC or ISO 9001 systems (preferred).
• Proficiency in MS Office and quality documentation tools.
