QA/QC Engineer – Roads & Utilities (Wet & Dry Infrastructure)

Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates

ole Purpose

To oversee and ensure the quality and compliance of roadworks, wet utilities (water, drainage, sewerage), and dry utilities (electrical, telecom, gas) infrastructure projects in accordance with project specifications, standards, and client requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Implement and monitor the project quality plan and QA/QC procedures.

Conduct inspections for roads, utilities (wet & dry), and infrastructure works.

Verify that materials, workmanship, and construction activities meet required specifications and standards.

Review and approve method statements, ITPs (Inspection & Test Plans), and material submittals.

Coordinate with consultants, clients, and site teams regarding inspections, approvals, and NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports).

Ensure calibration and proper use of testing equipment.

Prepare and maintain quality records (inspection reports, test results, quality logs).

Support the site team in resolving quality-related issues.

Monitor subcontractor performance and compliance with quality requirements.

Assist in audits (internal/external) and ensure corrective/preventive actions are taken.

Qualifications & Skills

Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.

Minimum 5–7 years of QA/QC experience in roads and utilities infrastructure projects in the GCC/UAE.

Familiarity with international codes (ASTM, AASHTO, BS, etc.) and local authority standards (RTA, DEWA, ADDC, etc.).

Strong knowledge of materials testing (soil, asphalt, concrete, utilities).

Certification in QA/QC or ISO standards is an advantage.

Excellent communication, documentation, and reporting skills.

Ability to manage multiple tasks and interface with clients/consultants.
