QA/QC Engineer - Water Treatment (Project Site) - Mechanical

• Oversee QA/QC activities for mechanical and MEP works during construction, testing, and commissioning, ensuring compliance with Dubai Municipality requirements, project specifications, approved drawings, and international standards.
• Raise, review, and close MIRs and WIRs for mechanical installations including GRP pipelines, HDPE pipelines, carbon steel piping, pumps, tanks, valves, and mechanical equipment, in coordination with consultants and client representatives.
• Perform inspections for GRP pipe installation, jointing, and lamination works, including surface preparation, resin mixing, curing, thickness checks, visual inspection, and repair procedures in accordance with approved method statements and manufacturer recommendations.
• Supervise and inspect HDPE piping works, including butt fusion and electrofusion welding, alignment checks, bead inspection, cooling time verification, and welding parameter compliance.
• Verify welding activities in accordance with applicable standards such as ASTM, ISO, ASME, DEWA, and manufacturer specifications, including review of WPS, welder qualifications, and welding records.
• Conduct dimensional inspections, visual inspection, pressure testing, hydrostatic testing, and leak tests for piping systems prior to client approval.
• Identify, raise, and manage NCRs, carried out root cause analysis, coordinated corrective and preventive actions with construction teams, and ensured timely closure to prevent recurrent
• Review and approve technical submittals, material datasheets, method statements, ITPs, and procedures related to GRP, HDPE, and mechanical systems.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, and third-party inspectors during site inspections, FATs, pressure tests, and audits, ensuring smooth approvals and compliance with project quality requirements.
• Organize and maintain QA/QC documentation including inspection reports, test records, lamination checklists, fusion welding logs, NCR registers, FAT reports, and final handover dossiers.
• Conduct supplier and factory inspections, prepared FAT checklists, punch lists, acceptance reports, and ensured compliance of supplied mechanical equipment and piping materials prior to delivery to site.

Required experience:

• Project site execution experience is mandatory
• Candidates must be from mechanical engineering background
• Candidates would be preferably working in the water treatment sector
• Candidates should have direct project site experience in industrial plants involved in STP, ETP or other industrial scale projects
• Mandatory experience in project execution & GCC experience
• Previous experience in MIR (material inspection request), WIR (work inspection request)

Pay: AED6,000.00 - AED8,000.00 per month
