QA/QC Engineer/Coordinator (Joinery)

Monitoring the progress and effectiveness of the production and installation quality management system

Job Objectives/Responsibilities:

· Perform Inspection to verify compliance of all the sites and factory under his jurisdiction.

· Develop and determine all standards to perform inspections and tests on all procedures, oversee all testing methods, and maintain high-quality standards for all processes.

· Review the quality of all materials at the site, ensure compliance with all project specifications and quality, and collaborate with the department for all material procurement and quality materials.

· Supervise the effective implementation of all test and inspection schedules, ensure adherence to all procedures, and coordinate with various teams to perform quality audits on processes and production plan follow up.

· Preparation of the companies QA manual control and supervision of all amendments and revisions.

· Perform all internal and external audits related to quality issues/procedures.

· Verify the quality of all the works related to sub-contractors working with Company for works related to the scope of projects.

· Attending client’s quality inspection meetings.

· Attending and being responsible for all the procedures related to QA/QC that shall be followed up and implemented as per ISO requirements.

· Working closely with the ISO manager for all the coordination works and documentation related to the Company ISO standards.

· Collecting and studying all approved drawings, BOQ, and Specification.

· Coordinate with production planner/project coordinator to schedule QC inspections.

· Preparation of QA/QC schedule plan.

· Coordinate and follow-up with sample request and approval (prepare relevant documents)

· Action and close all customer complaints.

· Coordinate and conform with logistic department for the delivery/dispatch of QA/QC approved packages to site.

· Liaise the Technical Engineer for submission of material submittals to consultant.

· Control all documentation upon the completion of the project.

Authorities:

· To reject any damage materials reived from the suppliers.

· Authorised stop the work and packing, if found any quality issues.

· Issue NCR to the workers/foremen on poor quality of work.

Competence Evaluation:

· Knowledge of International Organization for Standardization quality systems

· Verify contractor quality requirements are specified to vendors and contractor documentation submittals.

· The preparation and control of project quality system management documentation before project commencement.

· QA/QC engineer review quality inspection personnel qualifications and training requirements

· Monitor the disposition of all issued non-conformances.

· Monitor the progress and effectiveness of the project quality management system. Recommend and implement improvements when required.

Academic Qualifications:

· Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent in a related field.

· Specialist Knowledge: ISO 9001-2015

· Specific experience in checking the quality of Joinery works (production and installation & Painting)
