QA/QC For Corrugated Carton Manufacturing Company

Job Title: QC/QA Executive

Department: Quality Control & Assurance
Reports To: Production Manager / Factory Manager

Key Responsibilities:

1. Quality Control (In-Process & Final)

• Inspect and verify quality of paper reels, corrugated sheets, and finished cartons at every production stage (corrugation, pasting, printing, slotting, stitching, bundling).
• Conduct BCT, ECT, bursting strength, GSM, Cobb, and moisture tests as per standard procedures.
• Ensure correct grammage and paper combinations are used as per the job card.
• Check dimensions, printing accuracy, die-cut alignment, and flute quality before dispatch.
• Record and maintain daily QC inspection reports for each batch and machine.

2. Quality Assurance (System & Documentation)

• Develop, implement, and maintain QA documentation, including SOPs, inspection checklists, and testing records.
• Ensure traceability of materials from raw paper to finished cartons.
• Maintain calibration records of testing equipment.
• Assist in customer audits and ensure compliance with client quality requirements
• Lead root cause analysis (RCA) for any non-conformance and recommend corrective & preventive actions (CAPA).

3. Process & Continuous Improvement

• Identify recurring quality issues and coordinate with production for preventive solutions.
• Train machine operators and helpers on basic quality parameters and inspection points.
• Monitor wastage and side trim levels and assist in data collection for foreman-wise wastage tracking.

4. Coordination & Reporting

• Coordinate with procurement to ensure only approved paper grades are purchased.
• Liaise with production and dispatch teams to ensure non-conforming products are segregated and reworked as per QA instructions.
• Prepare and present monthly quality performance reports to management.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Industrial Engineering, Paper Technology, or related field.
• 2–4 years of experience in QC/QA in corrugated carton or paper packaging industry.
• Sound understanding of paper properties (GSM, BF, RCT, Cobb, Moisture) and corrugated board standards.
• Strong analytical, reporting, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and data recording tools.

KPIs (Key Performance Indicators):

• % of quality complaints from customers
• % of rejections/rework in production
• Wastage percentage by weight (trim + sheet)

Pay: From Rs45,000.00 per month
