QA/QC Mechanical Engineer

Job Summary

The QA/QC Engineer – Mechanical is responsible for implementing and maintaining quality control procedures for all mechanical works on high-rise building projects. The role ensures that HVAC, Plumbing, Fire Fighting, and other mechanical installations comply with approved drawings, specifications, authority requirements, and project quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor QA/QC procedures for mechanical works in high-rise projects.
• Review approved shop drawings, method statements, ITPs, and material submittals.
• Conduct site inspections and ensure works comply with project specifications and quality standards.
• Prepare, submit, and close Inspection Requests (IRs) with consultants.
• Identify non-conformities (NCRs) and ensure corrective and preventive actions are implemented.
• Coordinate with site engineers, subcontractors, and consultants to resolve quality issues.
• Monitor installation of HVAC, Plumbing, Drainage, Fire Fighting, Smoke Management, and Gas systems.
• Witness and document testing, commissioning, pressure testing, flushing, and balancing activities.
• Maintain proper QA/QC documentation, checklists, test reports, and handover dossiers.
• Ensure compliance with UAE/local authority regulations (Civil Defence, DEWA, DM, etc.).
• Support final inspection, snag clearance, and project handover.
