QC Engineer

Position: QC Engineer

Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE

Department: Quality Control / Manufacturing

Industry: Electrical Panel Manufacturing (PLC, Switchgear)

Reporting to: Quality Manager / Project Manager

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct in-process and final inspections of PLC panels and LV switchgear assemblies as per IEC standards and project specifications.
• Review and verify wiring, component installation, panel layout, labeling, and termination against approved drawings and BOMs.
• Perform functional and continuity testing of control panels.
• Coordinate with the design, production, and project teams to resolve quality issues.
• Maintain and update QA/QC documentation including inspection checklists, NCRs, test reports, and calibration records.
• Monitor compliance with ISO 9001, project QAPs, and customer requirements.
• Conduct FAT (Factory Acceptance Tests) in the presence of clients or third-party inspectors.
• Ensure all products meet applicable safety and quality standards before dispatch.
• Support root cause analysis and implementation of corrective/preventive actions (CAPA).
• Provide training and guidance to production teams on quality practices.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma in Electrical or Electronics Engineering.
• Minimum 1–2 years of QC experience in electrical panel manufacturing (PLC/SCADA panels, LV switchgear).
• Familiar with international standards (IEC, UL, ISO).
• Strong understanding of electrical schematics, SLDs, and wiring diagrams.
• Knowledge of tools like multimeters, megger, high-pot tester, etc.
• Detail-oriented with good documentation and communication skills.

Preferred:

• Experience with FAT procedures and client-side inspections
