QC Inspector – Pipeline Coating (Gulf Oil & Gas Projects)

Job description:

Are you experienced in pipeline coating inspection on major Gulf oil & gas projects? With hands-on expertise in FBE, 3LPE, or 3LPP coatings? If yes, you’re the candidate we’re looking for!

We are hiring Quality Control Inspectors for pipeline coating projects in Saudi Arabia. This is an excellent opportunity for skilled professionals with a strong quality background and valid certifications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform inspections of surface preparation, coating applications, and curing, in compliance with Aramco, NACE, SSPC, and API standards.
• Conduct coating quality tests including DFT, holiday detection, adhesion testing, and surface profile checks.
• Identify quality issues, raise non-conformance reports (NCRs), and assist in implementing corrective actions.
• Maintain detailed QC documentation and daily inspection records.
• Support audits, review coating procedures, and verify material certifications.
• Promote and follow HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) standards on site.
• Coordinate with client reps, third-party inspectors, and internal teams.

Required Qualification / Experience / Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in the pipeline coating industry.
• NACE Level 1, 2, or 3 OR BAGS Certification (Mandatory)
• Technical Knowledge:
• Expertise in coating materials (FBE, 3LPE, 3LPP, liquid coatings).
• Proficiency in inspection techniques such as DFT (Dry Film Thickness), holiday detection, adhesion testing, and surface profile measurement.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, standards, and specifications.
• Excellent report writing and documentation skills.
• Ability to work in challenging environments (outdoors, field sites, confined spaces, high-temperature areas).
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with multidisciplinary teams.

Job Location: Abqaiq , Saudi Arabia

Type of Employment: Permanent / Full time

Salary: Up to SAR 11,500/ Month
