QC Manager

J7 Group is seeking a competent and experienced Civil QA/QC Manager for its high-rise mixed-use development comprising a Mall and Residential Towers. The ideal candidate must have a strong command of quality control of RCC structural and finishing works, with proven hands-on experience on large-scale building projects.

Job Responsibilities

A. Implement, manage, and enforce QA/QC procedures in accordance with approved drawings, project specifications, and quality requirements.

B. Ensure all civil works are executed in compliance with consultant-approved ITPs, method statements, BOQs, and relevant standards.

C. Monitor and control the quality of work at site for structural, finishing, and external works.

D. Carry out regular inspections of concrete works, reinforcement, formwork, and shuttering, as well as block masonry, plastering, tiling, waterproofing, and finishing activities.

E. Review and approve material submittals, finishing materials, mix designs, and laboratory test reports.

F. Prepare, review, and maintain complete QA/QC documentation, including Inspection Requests (IRs) and Material Inspection Requests (MIRs).

G. Maintain quality records and submit daily, weekly, and monthly quality reports to project management.

H. Provide technical guidance and support to site staff to ensure required workmanship standards are achieved.

I. Ensure compliance with ACI, ASTM, BS standards, ISO 9001, and applicable local building by-laws.

J. Monitor and evaluate subcontractors’ quality performance, including verification of work quality for billing purposes, and enforce project quality requirements.

Qualification & Experience

A. BE / BSc in Civil Engineering (PEC registration preferred).

B. 8–12 years of relevant experience, preferably on high-rise buildings, malls, or mixed-use developments. Experience as QC is a must.

C. Strong hands-on experience in RCC structural works and finishing works.

D. Sound knowledge of international standards and local construction practices.
