The
QHSE Officer
ensures the highest standards of
quality, health, safety, and environmental compliance
across all business operations. The role plays a critical part in supporting
operational excellence
, promoting
sustainability
, ensuring
regulatory adherence

continuous improvement
. The position also integrates
digital monitoring tools

client interfacing

sustainability initiatives
to deliver holistic, modern, and compliant facility management solutions.
Key Responsibilities
1. QHSE Compliance & Auditing
-
Conduct
regular site inspections
,
safety audits
, and
environmental impact assessments
to ensure adherence to statutory and company standards.
-
Ensure compliance with
UAE regulatory frameworks
such as
OSHAD, ADCD, Civil Defense
, and other relevant authorities.
-
Manage and maintain all necessary
environmental and safety permits
.
-
Implement and sustain
ISO-certified management systems
(ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001), including internal audits and management reviews.
-
Identify
non-conformities (NCRs)
and ensure effective corrective and preventive actions are implemented.
2. Health, Safety & Emergency Preparedness
-
Lead and facilitate
toolbox talks
,
safety inductions
, and
emergency preparedness drills
.
-
Support
business continuity and crisis management planning
, ensuring readiness for emergency response scenarios.
-
Conduct
incident investigations
, perform
root cause analyses
, and recommend preventive measures.
-
Oversee issuance and control of
Permit to Work (PTW)
systems and ensure compliance with safe work procedures.
3. Environmental & Sustainability Management
-
Oversee
energy conservation
and
sustainability initiatives
in line with company and client objectives.
-
Monitor
resource consumption
(water, electricity, fuel) and track
carbon reduction efforts
.
-
Promote environmental awareness and contribute to
green FM practices
.
4. Client & Stakeholder Liaison
-
Serve as the
primary point of contact
for QHSE matters with clients, tenants, and regulatory bodies.
-
Communicate updates on compliance status, audit findings, and improvement plans.
-
Coordinate with
contractors, vendors, and subcontractors
to ensure induction, compliance, and alignment with FM QHSE standards.
5. Digital Systems & Reporting
-
Utilize
CAFM systems
and
digital QHSE dashboards
for real-time tracking, data analysis, and reporting.
-
Maintain up-to-date QHSE documentation, including
Risk Assessments (RA)
,
Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS)
,
incident reports
, and
inspection logs
.
-
Generate
monthly, quarterly, and annual QHSE reports
for management and client review.
Qualifications & Experience
-
Bachelor’s Degree
in Engineering, Environmental Science, Safety Management, or a related discipline.
-
5–8 years
of progressive QHSE experience within
Facilities Management
or
Commercial Property Operations
.
-
NEBOSH IGC Certification
(mandatory);
IOSH / OSHA
certification preferred.
-
In-depth knowledge of
ISO 45001, ISO 9001, ISO 14001
, and
OSHAD-SF (UAE)
frameworks.
-
Prior experience in
UAE/GCC
facilities or construction sectors preferred.
