Quality & Acceptance Lead

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Quality & Acceptance Lead is responsible for defining and governing the quality assurance, testing, and acceptance framework across projects and products.

The role ensures solutions meet defined requirements, standards, and acceptance criteria before deployment and handover to operations.

This role acts as the gatekeeper of quality, ensuring consistency, compliance, and readiness across the delivery lifecycle.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Quality Framework & Standards

  • Define and maintain the organization’s QA and acceptance strategy.
  • Establish testing standards, templates, and quality gates.
  • Ensure alignment with governance, compliance, and delivery frameworks

Test & Acceptance Management

  • Oversee test planning and execution across projects and products.
  • Coordinate System Integration Testing (SIT), UAT, and acceptance activities.
  • Ensure traceability between requirements, testing, and acceptance criteria.
  • Approve readiness for release and operational handover.

Defect & Issue Management

  • Establish defect management processes and tools.
  • Monitor defect trends and drive root cause analysis.
  • Ensure corrective and preventive actions are implemented.

Stakeholder & Vendor Coordination

  • Coordinate with project managers, product teams, vendors, and operations.
  • Facilitate acceptance workshops and sign-off processes.
  • Ensure vendors meet contractual quality and acceptance requirements.

Reporting & Continuous Improvement

  • Track and report quality metrics and testing progress.
  • Identify quality risks and improvement opportunities.
  • Promote a culture of quality and continuous improvement.
  • Establish testing standards, templates, and quality gates.
  • Ensure alignment with governance, compliance, and delivery frameworks.

POTENTIAL BACKGROUND

Education:

  • Bachelor’s in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

Experience:

  • 8–12+ years in QA, testing, or delivery roles
  • Experience managing UAT, SIT, and acceptance processes

Preferred Certifications:

  • ISTQB or equivalent QA certification
  • Agile/Scrum (advantage)
  • PMP or PRINCE2 (nice to have)

Typical Previous Roles:

  • QA Manager, Test Manager, Release Manager, Delivery Manager

  • Test Management: TestRail, Zephyr, Xray
  • Automation & Testing: Selenium, Cypress, Postman
  • Tracking & Collaboration: Jira, Confluence, SharePoint, Microsoft Teams

Job Type: Permanent

Pay: Up to QAR20,000.00 per month
