Quality Assurance Automation Engineer

The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, executing, and maintaining automated test solutions using a wide range of modern testing tools and frameworks. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to drive high-quality delivery of financial products by implementing scalable automation strategies and continuously improving test coverage, reliability, and efficiency across the SDLC.

Location: Onsite [Lahore, Karachi, Islamabad, Multan & Faisalabad]

What You’ll Do

• Develop and execute automated tests using Selenium, Playwright, Appium, Cypress, Katalon , and other modern tools.
• Build and maintain scalable automation frameworks for web, mobile, and API testing.
• Work closely with developers, QA, business analysts, and product teams to define automation requirements.
• Perform API testing and automation using Postman, SoapUI, REST Assured, or Katalon.
• Integrate automation suites into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Actions).
• Use Jira, TestRail, or Bugzilla to track defects and ensure timely resolution.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to test planning and estimations.
• Maintain test data, troubleshoot test environments, and continuously optimize automation coverage.
• Research and recommend new automation tools and best practices.

What We’re Looking For

• 4+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance with a strong focus on automation across multiple tools and platforms.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology , or a related field.
• Hands-on expertise with multiple automation tools and frameworks such as Selenium, Playwright, Appium, Cypress, Katalon Studio , or equivalent.
• Strong experience with API testing and automation using Postman, SoapUI, REST Assured, or Katalon API capabilities.
• Proven experience integrating tests into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Actions).
• Proficiency in programming/scripting languages such as Java, Python, or Groovy .
• Solid understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies with practical experience working in Agile teams.
• Hands-on experience with test management and defect tracking tools like Jira, TestRail, Zephyr, or Bugzilla.
• Strong database testing skills with proficiency in SQL for backend data validation.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
