Riphah International University is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Intern for the Quality Assurance team to assist in monitoring and upholding quality standards across various operational activities. This internship is ideal for candidates who are currently pursuing or have recently completed a degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related fields. The role involves supporting the inspection of materials, finished products, and shipments to ensure compliance with quality benchmarks. The intern will play a vital part in maintaining quality documentation, such as reports and checklists, while coordinating effectively with procurement, warehouse, and logistics teams to promote quality compliance across departments.

This position offers the opportunity to gain foundational knowledge in quality control procedures and support the implementation of standard operating procedures. The intern will participate in supplier evaluations, assist in performance tracking, and contribute to audits and compliance checks to ensure adherence to company policies and industry standards. The role requires strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and effective communication within a collaborative environment. This internship is designed to provide hands-on experience and a comprehensive understanding of quality assurance processes across supply chain operations without the responsibility of managing a team.

Responsibilities

• Support monitoring of quality standards for incoming goods, in-process materials, and outgoing shipments to ensure compliance with established criteria.
• Assist in conducting inspections and sampling of materials, products, and shipments to identify deviations or non-conformities.
• Help maintain and update quality assurance documentation, including checklists, reports, and records to ensure accurate information management.
• Coordinate with procurement, warehouse, and logistics teams to verify adherence to quality requirements during different stages of the supply chain.
• Contribute to supplier evaluation activities by tracking supplier performance and identifying potential quality risks.
• Identify quality issues, discrepancies, and defects and report them promptly to the quality assurance team for resolution.
• Assist in implementing and reviewing quality control procedures and standard operating procedures (SOPs) to enhance compliance and efficiency.
• Participate in internal and external audits by preparing necessary documents and supporting audit processes to ensure regulatory and company standard adherence.
• Help facilitate compliance checks and quality improvement initiatives to support continuous improvement efforts in the organization.
• Utilize Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel, for data analysis, reporting, and documentation related to quality assurance tasks.
• Develop basic skills in manual and automated testing concepts as they relate to quality assurance within supply chain and logistics contexts.
• Demonstrate strong organizational skills and attention to detail to effectively manage multiple tasks and quality checkpoints.
• Engage in collaborative team activities, providing support and communicating effectively to promote a culture of quality and continuous improvement.
• Learn and adapt quickly to evolving quality standards, processes, and technologies relevant to supply chain and logistics operations.
